"It's sweaty and uncomfortable": Filming S*x Scenes With Angelina Jolie in $342M Film Was A Nightmare for X-Men Star James McAvoy

Having an off-screen friendly relationship with an actor that you are about to get naked with is often difficult to handle. Angelina Jolie and X-Mrn star James McAvoy faced a similar dilemma but not because of the awkwardness, but because the s*x scene was so difficult to shoot.

When James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie Had Terrible S*x

The 2008 movie Wanted starred hot actors James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie together. Based on Mark Miller’s novel, the movie received worldwide success but it did not come at a cheap price. Being R-rated, the film had plenty of mature scenes not limited to violence only as McAvoy and Angelina Jolie had to share intimate scenes together when required.

Although they did not have a problem with the intimate scenes, the Split actor revealed that it was pretty uncomfortable to shoot. This is not new for the Scottish actor since McAvoy has a problem with getting intimate comfortably with his co-stars. Detailing his experiences, he recalled:

“It’s sweaty and uncomfortable. My paranoia is the girl I’m doing the s*x scene with will think I’m getting off on her. I have nightmares about that the night before a s*x scene. There’s no chance of getting any kind of stimulus because you’re so nervous and there’s all these people watching you.”

The actor further continued his trail of overthinking by saying that he felt intimidated by the beauty of his co-star.

“It’s daunting. They’re considered to be the most beautiful people in the world, and I’m clearly not. I don’t think I’ve been hit by the ugly stick, but I’m not exactly a matinee idol.”

Talking about the action flick, McAvoy revealed that even though the s*x scene was uncomfortable, Angelina Jolie is one of the most approachable actresses in the Hollywood industry and that she was really friendly.

Being a humble actor, James McAvoy does not believe that he is equally as famous as his co-stars. Talking about the fame of Angelina Jolie, McAvoy had nothing but praise for the actress since she was one of the most friendly actors on set.

“Angelina and I share one epic snog, which was kind of weird. Her life is mad with all the attention she gets, but she still retains a really approachable air. She’s lovely, actually. We had a good laugh on a fairly demanding shoot, because it was so physical.”

The actors clearly had fun on the sets but the movie did not perform as expected by the people. Wanted got a rating of 6.7/10 on IMDB and an average score of 71% on Rotten Tomatoes. The James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie starrer is available to stream on Peacock Premium.
