Hollywood film buffs are living their fairytales vicariously through Tom Holland and Zendaya’s off-screen romance. The MCU actors who shared sizzling chemistry together as Peter Parker and MJ in the MCU Spider-Man films, took their relationship from on-screen to off-screen. The pair have been reportedly dating ever since they fell for each other during the filming of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Although Holland and Zendaya have officially confirmed their relationship through their numerous public appearances together, the couple have rarely spoken about their love story or shared details of each other in public. Tom Holland in a recent interview with GQ, explained why he felt that he needed to protect his relationship with Zendaya from the limelight.
Tom Holland Wanted Privacy In His Relationship With Zendaya
Despite being one of the most talked about and loved real-life couples in Hollywood, Tom Holland and Zendaya have managed to stay tight-lipped about their relationship. While both Marvel stars have never shied away from appearing together at events, Holland confessed that there were certain important reasons that stopped him from talking about their love story which included giving Zendaya the respect she deserves.
“I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private because I share so much of my life with the world anyway. We sort of felt robbed of our privacy. It’s not a conversation that I can have without her, you know, I respect her too much. This isn’t my story. It’s our story. And we’ll talk about what it is when we’re ready to talk about it together.”
The Euphoria actor also weighed in on her boyfriend’s opinion and said that she believed their relationship was important and sacred which therefore demanded they enjoy the companionship without any outside pressures.
The Crowded Room Encouraged Tom Holland To Get Sober
Marvel star Tom Holland opened up about his experiences during the filming of his television series, The Crowded Room. The actor confessed to having a meltdown on set owing to the disturbing intensity of the character and the narrative which is based on true incidents.
“I was seeing myself in [the character], but in my personal life. I remember having a bit of a meltdown at home and thinking, like, ‘I’m going to shave my head. I need to shave my head because I need to get rid of this character.’ And, obviously, we were mid-shooting, so I decided not to… It was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before.”
The project changed Holland’s perspective on mental health and influenced his choice to become sober. The actor, who also doubled up as an executive producer for the show, expressed his hope that the series will encourage viewers to have more respect and sympathy for people who are going through mental health issues.
The Crowded Room will air on Apple+ TV on June 9th, 2023
