Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were known as the power couple of Hollywood back in the day. After the actor, Matt Damon got famous for starring in the iconic role of Jason Bourne in the Bourne franchise, he had the opportunity to kiss his dear friend Brad Pitt’s wife for his role in the movie. The Maleficent actor starred alongside Matt Damon in the 2006 movie titled The Good Shepherd.
Recalling the difference between kissing his husband and his husband’s friend, Angelina Jolie revealed the difference and how Damon stated that it was a very awkward situation. Although it was just acting, Jolie stated that the difference between the two was very evident.

Matt Damon and Brad Pitt have had a good friendship over the years with each other. Back in 2006 when Brad Pitt was freshly out of a divorce from his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, he started dating Angelina Jolie during that time.
After Matt Damon found success in the role of Jason Bourne in the iconic Bourne franchise, Damon and Angelina Jolie starred in the lead roles for the 2006 film The Good Shepherd. Being a thriller/drama there was a scene in the movie wherein the leads had to share a wonderful kiss. What was to be a romantic moment turned awkward since Matt Damon was essentially kissing his friend’s girlfriend!
In an interview, Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie talked about the kiss and how weird it felt for the trio since they essentially knew each other quite well.
Matt Damon stated, “It’s weird. … We all know each other.” Jolie further continued, “In reality both the people we’re involved with couldn’t have cared less about that because they know us,” Jolie said. “You know, it’s one of those things where it’s like the least threatening person. … You know, good luck to you guys, I hope it’s not too awkward.”
This wasn’t all since after the talk, the interviewer asked Angelina Jolie what the difference was between kissing Matt Damon and Brad Pitt. Jolie had a quick-witted reply for the interview.
“You know one’s a friend and one’s my love,”
Through the awkwardness and humor, the duo finished starring in The Good Shepherd and earned quite the fame that boosted their careers back in 2006.

Jolie initially found her fame by starring in the role of Lara Croft in the early 2000s. Preferring to do her own stunts, Angelina Jolie recalled the time a bullet went whizzing past her right ear when she was strapped to a harness.
“It was less about the dropping and more about the gunshots. And there was one time, I think, where a bullet went…(She whistled and, with her finger, draws an imaginary line past her right ear.)… because Gerry was spinning, and the guns were shooting at each other half the time…”
The actor was luckily safe and no harm had come to her. Jolie and Brad Pitt are currently fighting for the rights of Château Miraval which was their shared property during their time together. As for the awkward movie, The Good Shepherd is available to stream on Hulu.
