Hollywood’s biggest night was lit up by numerous glamorous stars who made their presence felt. Jessica Chastain also brought in the glam with her gorgeous sequin Gucci gown as a black velvet train followed the Interstellar star. She sparkled like a diamond on the 2023 Oscars’ Red Carpet and was soon surrounded by her fellow actors.
Having all of them together on the red carpet on the biggest night of Hollywood, the Jolene star found the perfect opportunity to announce her new project with Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, and Nicole Kidman.
Jessica Chastain Announces Her New Multi-Starrer Project
Jessica Chastain was joined by her fellow actors Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, and Nicole Kidman during her interview at the 2023 Oscars. As the four of them gathered around and started talking, the Dark Phoenix star made an unexpected announcement. She said that all of them are starring in a film together, which is currently under development.
She said, “I would like to announce the four of us are gonna do a movie very soon. It’s being written right now!” The interviewer began speculating what type of film it would be. Kit Hoover, who was interviewing the Ava star, said, “It’s like Dwayne’s Angels.”
His partner also joined in and said, “I do see an action movie right here,” as he gestured toward the Hollywood stars. It continued for a while as assumptions went on from a murder mystery to a heavy drama, and even a possible comedy, before the conversation shifted to Chastain’s broadway, A Doll’s House. The actress got overwhelmed seeing her fellow actors supporting her on broadway.
The Wilde Salomé star celebrated the opening of her broadway earlier this month and has been praised for her work on the show. However, the announcement at the Oscars only seemed a joke, which Chastain made up after her fellow actors joined her on the 2023 Oscars’ red carpet.
Jessica Chastain Appreciates Dwayne Johnson’s Support
Emily Blunt first surprised the George & Tammy star as she hugged her from back. Jessica Chastain immediately knew it was Emily Blunt, and soon The Rock also joined the conversation. Talking about the Jumanji star, she said that he sent her birthday wishes and said, “Honestly, you are the most supportive, and not everyone is like that.”
She further mentioned how the Baywatch star sent her a sweet message after he watched her 2022 miniseries, George & Tammy. She said, “He watched George & Tammy and he sent me a sweet message.” Johnson’s Jungle Cruise co-star Emily Blunt also shared that he also told her how much he loved Jessica Chastain’s 2022 miniseries.
Although Jessica Chastain just joked about starring in a film with Blunt, Johnson, and Kidman, fans seem pretty favorable toward the idea, as many said that they might end up making something good. However, to fans’ disappointment, that might not happen anytime soon.
