Emily Blunt was just starting in Hollywood when she began dating the very famous and illustrious Canadian singer Michael Bublé. They first interacted when they met backstage during one of his concerts. While Blunt had only appeared in a handful of British productions, Bublé was famous all over the world. But his being more famous than her was not a disturbing fact for the Mary Poppins Returns star, in fact, she felt very relieved.

Most people in Hollywood would feel dejected having a famous partner since it is likely to overshadow their work, talent, and capabilities. And there are some who would hate to be more successful than their partners for fear of overshadowing or overburdening them. Emily Blunt is of the latter kind, for she would hate to be the one to ’emasculate’ her partner.

While she is no doubt more famous than her husband John Krasinski, she once felt relieved to be dating a partner more famous than her. In reference to her ex, Michale Bublé, she once stated,

“It’s harder when you’re the one emasculating [your boyfriend]. I’ve done that, and it doesn’t work. If someone is not fulfilled in what they do and you’re a successful girl, it will work against you.”

Despite Emily Blunt’s fear, John Krasinski wasn’t even a little bit deterred to marry her.

Any actor would sometimes or the other feel dejected or upset when being married to someone more famous than them, especially when they are subjected to huge media criticism and backlash. Despite Emily Blunt being more famous than John Krasinski, he wasn’t worried about how fame would affect their relationship.

Even after 13 years of their marriage, the Quiet Place director is often outspoken in support of his wife and remains her biggest fan. Even Blunt on any occasion she gets is always eager to express how grateful she feels to be Krasinski’s wife, despite her earlier fear.

Nothing short of a fairytale, Blunt and Krasinski are really a testament to the fact that popularity and fame don’t matter when it comes to love.
