Kieran Culkin Compelled To Star In Jesse Eisenberg’s Next
Jesse Eisenberg is a phenomenal actor. The Zombieland actor who made his directorial debut with When You Finish Saving The World, is now back to directing his next A Real Pain set in Poland. When Kieran Culkin was offered the script he agreed readily, but soon began to look for reasons to not do the film.
“This is going to sound terrible, but I’ve tried to get out of it because it’s going to make my life miserable… I was finding every reason to not do it. I was like, “I’ll watch his first film, maybe it’s going to be terrible.” I watched it, and I was like, “Shit. It’s really good.” Well, let me reread the script, I’m going to find holes in it….. I reread it and it was so wonderful.”
No matter what he tried, Culkin couldn’t get himself to say no since he was completely awestruck by the script. The Succession star explains how right after the script he went straight to his wife to apologise.
“When I finished it, I went to my wife and I was like, “I’m sorry, honey. F**k, I have to go do this movie.” It’s just too good.”
Seeing Culkin’s reaction we can anticipate the film is going to be amazing as well. We sure can’t wait to watch it since it will be starring both Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg in the lead, who will be playing cousins visiting Poland after their great-aunt’s death.
Jesse Eisenberg’s A Real Pain: What Is It About?
Jesse Eisenberg is known for his quirky acting, his roles are distinct with multiple sides and hidden charms that the audience love. With his drive down the directorial path, it would be interesting to see the other side of his personality. A semi-autobiographical film, A Real Pain touches upon the pain of the Holocaust.
Kieran Culkin revealed he would be starring along with Eisenberg in the film. Culkin and Eisenberg will be playing cousins whose Great-aunt is a Holocaust survivor. After her death, she leaves in her will a trip to her two Great-Grandsons to visit the town she was brought up in and the house she lived in.
