The Avengers cast members have often stated how working together in the films has contributed to the formation of a close bond among each other. The cast members have publicly spoken about their close relationships with each other both on and off-screen. However, it looks like Scarlett Johansson was extremely disappointed when Brie Larsson did not care enough to remember their first meeting.
Since the time cast members have spent filming numerous films over several years has resulted in developing strong bonds. The original six Avengers members have been close to each other and it was evident when the Lucy actress referred to Chris Hemsworth as family. Hence, it was a big deal for Scarlett Johansson when Brie Larson could not care enough about their first meeting.
Brie Larson Forgets How She Met Scarlett Johansson
The actresses were on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, to promote the Avengers: Endgame, and the host asked the cast members how they met for the first time. Ellen DeGeneres, the host of the show asked if they texted each other prior to their meeting, to which Brie Larson replied, “We did.”
Captain Marvel’s reply provoked disbelief in Scarlett Johansson because it was contrary to what had happened, hence she asked her “You don’t remember how we met? How did we meet?” To which Larson replied, “I do! At dinner?” Which was also incorrect. The Lucy actress declared that they’ve worked together, and she was shocked and surprised because the Room actress does not think much about their first meeting.
“No! Clearly, it made an impression on me but somebody else didn’t care. We worked together. Oh my God. Its bad shame on you!”
Brie Larson tried to get out of the situation saying, she did not think much about their time in the MCU because she thought “I was basically a glorified extra and you were Scarlett Johansson.” The Island actress smilingly replied, “I noticed you, Brie. I noticed you. You were not a glorified extra.”
Larson forgetting how she met her co-star was a great and hilarious moment, which brought some laughs from the audience. And it added to the actress’ awkward interview moments which have numerous bizarre moments. But it turns out this moment was not as awkward as the other moments because fans loved it. The actresses are close friends, and during their time in the MCU, they grew closer, but where did they first meet?
How Did the Actresses Meet For The First Time?
While the actresses grew closer during their time in the MCU, they first met back in 2013 on the set of Don Jon. The rom-com movie had a low budget with a star-studded cast, while the film received a positive response from the critics it earned only $41 million globally at the Box Office.
Brie Larson did not have many lines in the film but she had a blast on the set working with popular stars like Anne Hathaway, Tony Danze, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, which also helped her in learning so many things from them. As a result, it turns out she had so much fun on the set that she completely forgot, Johansson was also a part of the film.
