"It's a delicate situation": Fast X Star Ludacris Refused Taking Dwayne Johnson's Side During Vin Diesel Feud Despite The Rock Publicly Praising His Netflix Series 'Karma's World'

Practically, no one expected Dwayne Johnson’s The Fast and the Furious to grow into one of the biggest media franchises in the world when it was first released in 2001. By the time Fast X premieres in 2023, the Fast & Furious franchise will have made over $6 billion in total revenue from 10 films, a spin-off, and even rides at Universal Studios.

Although it has brought together fans in movie theaters for more than 20 years, the story ‘behind the scenes’ has been very different. In fact, there is a well-known feud, which everyone is aware of (especially among Fast & Furious fans) between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel.

Ludacris Comments On The Infamous Feud Between Vin Diesel And Dwayne Johnson

The feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson has once been addressed by Fast X actor, Ludacris. The infamous argument between the two actors began after ‘The Rock’ used his Instagram account to criticize the lack of professionalism displayed by unnamed actors on the movie’s set.

The now-deleted post made reference to some people’s improper behavior. Johnson was said to have called out Diesel, though no names were mentioned at the time. Even though the two actors have patched things up, Fast X star, Ludacris has once spoken out about the “delicate situation” that existed between them. In a statement to Us Weekly, the 45-year-old actor-rapper said:

“All I can say is that, from what I understand, I know those are two grown men.”

He continued by claiming that he didn’t want to speak for either of the two men and mentioned:

“I believe The Rock has spoken on that, and I don’t want to speak for either one of them. So, I would leave it to whatever their words are and keep it that way, because it’s a delicate situation.”

Also note that the two allegedly had a worsening of situation when their feud was still recent, which prevented them from sharing a scene in 2017’s The Fate of the Furious.

Their Feud Explained

The famous feud took place on the set of The Fate of the Furious, the eighth installment in the Fast and Furious series, between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel. It was revealed that they were at odds when Johnson wrote a now-deleted Instagram post in 2016 about co-stars who “couldn’t conduct themselves as stand up men.”

Although he didn’t specifically name anyone, observers believed that he was referring to Diesel, who co-starred with him in Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, and Furious 7.

Well, it is safe to say that the franchise has launched a series of films since then, each of which has grown in scale and featured more and more action-packed blockbusters.

Fast X and his extended ‘family’ are back for more vehicular mayhem in the tenth and penultimate installment of the franchise. In terms of actors playing the same characters again on the big screen, the Fast and Furious franchise is now breaking new ground.

The drama should be kept to a minimum so that fans can enjoy the recently released Fast X movies without any further star feuds.

Fast X debuted in theaters on May 19, 2023.
