With her stunning and dazzling performances in movies like Basic Instinct and Casino, Sharon Stone had everyone talking about her in the 1990s. The actress was topping headlines, not only for her professional but also for her personal life. Fans of the actress were highly interested in learning about her love life. She has been married two times and has been linked with several big names in the industry.
However, things got complicated when she was encouraged to go on a date with the actor and TV host Craig Ferguson immediately after he interviewed her. And things did not go as planned, leaving both of them awkward.
Sharon Stone Went on a Date With Craig Ferguson
Sharon Stone once joined the talk show host Craig Ferguson on his late-night talk show. The TV host later opened up about having the actress as a guest on his show. While talking to Howard Stern on his radio show, Ferguson was asked if he had ever dated one of his guests.
And he shared that he did go out on a date with one of the initial guests. He stated that he asked out the Basic Instinct star after her publicist encouraged him to do so. However, things did not go as planned. “There was one at the very beginning, and it worked out bad. It was Sharon Stone,” he said.
Ferguson further shared, “Nothing ever happened. We just had dinner.” The Saving Grace actor shared that he was very excited to go on a date with Stone, as she had been a sensational actress in Hollywood. However, despite everything, he was unable to get one thing off of his mind.
Sharon Stone And Craig Ferguson Had an Awkward Date
As he talked about his date with Sharon Stone, Craig Ferguson shared that he was very excited about it. “I was just getting my first flush of fame, and I was excited about it beforehand,” he told Howard Stern. But he also shared that he was unable to stop thinking about her character, Catherine Tramell, and her intimate scene from the 1992 movie Basic Instinct.
He said, “She was very nice, but I have got to be honest, the whole time I was thinking about that scene in Basic Instinct.” Apart from that, Ferguson claimed that the whole date was awkward and there was no chemistry between them.
“There was no real chemistry there. She was very nice, but I think she felt awkward, and I felt awkward,” the talk show host shared. Their awkward date ended with an awkward handshake, and Ferguson dropped her home, and he called the whole thing weird.
