While it may be a matter of pride to give it your all for the sake of making something great, what people need to understand is the fact that the public will only love it when it’s catered to them in the way they like it to be. And for decades, Sylvester Stallone has given us the exact action and violence that fans hope for from one of the biggest action stars of all time.
And even to this day, he has nothing but the absolute resolve to bring out the films that fans of the old-school adrenaline-pumping intensity want and expect from him with a new spicy flare added in the mix. And with his upcoming film, he plans to do just that while also trying to not repeat a grave mistake he made in one of his biggest franchises.
Sylvester Stallone Won’t Repeat The Mistake Of Making The Expendables 4 PG-13
Known for bringing some of the biggest and most bada*s action films cinema has ever seen, Hollywood’s action legend Sylvester Stallone is hailed as one of the biggest stars in this genre for a reason. And so far, the star has been the main man in some of these films and franchises that have gone on to break box office records during their run time. But everyone makes mistakes, and the actor was no exception when he went on to make his previous film in the highly regarded Expendables franchise a PG-13 flick.

After the release of The Expendables 3 in cinemas worldwide, people who were long-time fans of the franchise noticed that the action and violence that the series was widely known for was toned down to a very major level, so much so that it didn’t instill the same thrill it used to in previous movies. This, in turn, made the movie bomb at the box office and tarnish the reputation that the franchise had built in the past. Therefore, when an unrated version of the film was released to the public, the Rambo star assured that the next film will not repeat this miscalculation, saying:
“I believe it was a horrible miscalculation on everyone’s part in trying to reach a wider audience, but in doing such, diminish the violence that the audience expects.
I’m quite certain it won’t happen again.”
And now, with the release of the upcoming The Expendables 4 arriving soon, people are hoping that Stallone keeps his word.
