But one time, it was the chilling weather that left her uncomfortable whilst a love scene with Colin Farrell during the filming of Ask the Dust (2006). Salma Hayek Suffered A Bit Of Hypothermia
During the filming of Ask the Dust (2006), Salma Hayek was left uncomfortable, first because of a racy love scene with Colin Farrell, and then because of what the actor did to make her laugh. Recalling the “less than ideal” love scene, Hayek revealed:
“It was freezing. Freezing, unbearable, cold. And I got a little bit of hypothermia. They were really careful. We had to take special drinks that would keep our bodies heated. I mean, we had to prepare physically to do the scene because it was so cold.”

She opened up that she acted comfortable, but as a matter of fact, she was really nervous because of the shivering cold. She was too upset to entertain Farrell, who tried cheering her up. She said back then, “I’m not in the mood right now! I’m really upset about this!’ I’m barking.”
Set in the 1930s, the Robert Towne-directed movie revolved around a writer who slowly falls in love with a waitress. The romantic drama, however, received mixed reviews as critics felt that Farrell was miscast in front of the “luminous” Hayek.

Even though Hayek was barely interested in entertaining the Irish actor, who played Penguin in The Batman, Farrell did something beyond hilarious to settle her down. But in doing so, the actor went to extreme lengths as he stripped down completely. She said:
“And out he comes, b*tt-na*ed from the trailer, jumping and doing ballet dance. And I started laughing. It was the most ridiculous thing. Everybody started laughing. And he did it to relax me because I was really tense.”

The move might have been hilarious, but Farrell did manage to gain Salma Hayek’s adoration. She expressed her appreciation for the love scene and also mentioned that he showed a level of respect towards her, something she didn’t get from many other co-actors. Farrell, on the other hand, never took his eyes off Hayek during their time together.
