A Career Full Of Milestones And Rejections

Sometimes, the element of our damnation becomes our salvation. Scarlett Johansson’s ‘husky voice’ was almost always the reason why she lost out on major roles. According to her, when she went out for auditions for musical theater or for acting gigs as this cute blonde girl and also as an adult, casting directors would reject her citing that her voice was too deep for their liking.

In an interview with Candis Magazine, the 35-year-old actor shared the rejection part of her story. This is what she said –

“I trained to be a singer as a little kid. It was really tough for me to get into a musical theater due to my husky voice. So, acting seemed to be the next best thing.”
