Jennifer Lawrence ended her long two-year hiatus from the movies after playing a major role in 2021’s Don’t Look Up. The movie starred some of the major faces from Hollywood such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, and Timothee Chalamet. Surprisingly, The Hunger Games fame confessed that filming alongside DiCaprio and Chalamet was not a very good experience for her.
In an interview given to Stephen Colbert, Jennifer Lawrence elaborated on how it was to work with some of the most popular names and it was indeed very funny. The actress claimed that it was one of the most annoying days of her life as her co-stars drove her mad.
Jennifer Lawrence’s not-so-good experience with her A-List co-stars
While working with people like Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep is a dream for many, some have their own kind of experiences. Jennifer Lawrence sarcastically commented that the day when she had to film a sequence with both Chalamet and the Titanic star, they didn’t let her have a moment of peace.
The revelation came in an episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where the actress termed her experience as “misery”. The film was shot soon after the COVID lockdown and that was also a reason why Timothee Chalamet was way too excited after getting out of his house. While on the other hand, the Passengers star also mimicked Leonardo DiCaprio which was deemed as “uncanny” by the host.
“It was the most annoying day of my life, I’ll tell you that. They drove me crazy that day. I don’t know what it was. Timothée was just excited to be out of the house, I think it was his first scene. And Leo had picked the song that was playing in the car and was just like, ‘You know, this song is about blah, blah, blah.’ I just remember being in absolute misery that day. It was hell.”
Later on, Jennifer Lawrence also praised her co-stars by confessing that it was “cool” sharing screen space with such stars. Don’t Look Up despite receiving mixed reviews and being controversial received an amazing number of views and fulfilled Jennifer Lawrence’s long-time wish of working with Adam McKay.

Jennifer Lawrence’s upcoming movie faces some trouble
After being a part of Don’t Look Up and Causeway, the Oscar-winning actress is all set to lead in the upcoming comedy titled No Hard Feelings. The initial reactions received by the trailer of the movie don’t look good as the age gap between the leads sparks controversies.
The plot of the upcoming film focuses on Maddie played by Jennifer Lawrence. She acts as an Uber driver who agrees to become the “girlfriend” of a teenage son Percy in exchange for a new Buick Regal car as promised by the boy’s parents. The film is accused of having problematic themes of showing a concerning large age gap between the duo. As reported by Screen Rant, the modern-day moviegoers aren’t looking to welcome such themes and it might also affect the movie badly.
No Hard Feelings will hit the theaters on June 23, 2023, while Don’t Look Up can be streamed on Netflix.
