Don’t Worry Darling has been rising in the charts of controversies as the feud between Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde continues to grow. From Florence Pugh refusing to show up for any press for the movie to Harry Styles reportedly spitting on Chris Pine. Although Pugh did make an appearance for the premiere of the movie in Venice, she made her stand towards her points and decided not to do any press.
More details regarding the feud of Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde have come into light as on – set sources have come forward to reveal more on their fight.
The Olivia Wilde – Florence Pugh Feud Grows
Florence Pugh‘s original complain was regarding the sexualization of her and Harry Style‘s characters. Publicity revolving around the same was what looked to be rising and Pugh was unhappy with that. This soon turned into a rising concern of Styles and Wilde disappearing in between shoots for long intervals as the rumors of Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles dating each other began to surface.
This was also during the time when Olivia Wilde was still engaged to Ted Lasso actor Jason Sudeikis. The actress was still being visited on set by Sudeikis and their children as the relationship came to life.
The Controversies Following Don’t Worry Darling
The movie itself has been a target of negative reviews which too have played their part in creating wedges between these actors. An on – set source revealed that both Pugh and Wilde properly screamed at each other when the movie was more than halfway filmed.
Shia LaBeouf who at first seemed to have been fired by Olivia Wilde came forward with proof claiming that she instead had been begging him not to quit after which she proceeded to hire Harry Styles for the role.
The only light the movie truly brought to was the feud itself. Else the movie purely saw depletion in reviews with growing plot holes, disastrous direction and mediocre acting with the exception of Pugh herself.
Don’t Worry Darlings’ Reviews
The movie itself has gotten mediocre praises with heavy admiration towards Florence Pugh and discomfort towards Harry Styles and his questionable accent. The fans themselves have been anticipating the movie just as much because of all the publicity it has received because of its controversies. Many wish to watch it purely based on the scandals that have surfaced.
Don’t Worry Darling which finally hit the theatres on 23rd September 2022, has had a line up of talented actors, all ranging from genres and fan followings, however that does not seem enough for the movie with all the negative reviews it has received till date.
