Tom Holland Is Very Proud Of Unchartered Despite All Odds

In a Twitter video by The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Holland shares his views on his collaboration with Mark Wahlberg in the 2022 adventure movie Uncharted. While Holland plays the role of Nathan Drake, Wahlberg on the other hand portrays Victor “Sully” Sullivan.

In the video, Holland speaks proudly about how he and Wahlberg are buddies and that he enjoys his company. He also states that he is incredibly proud of their 2022 collaboration Uncharted. Holland also mentions that the odds were against them as people didn’t want the film to succeed, but it did well nonetheless.

“Mark Wahlberg is a golfing buddy and I enjoy his company. In terms of collaboration, we made Uncharted which is a film I’m incredibly proud of. The odds were sort of stacked against us. It was a film that I didn’t think people wanted to succeed but they really enjoyed it and the film did really well. So I’m delighted that Mark and I got that opportunity.”

This proves that no matter the reception or whatever odds may come in making a film like Uncharted, Holland, and Wahlberg deliver stunning performances and have a sense of belief in themselves.

Despite getting only a meager 6.3 on IMDb and a 41% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the film Uncharted achieved significant success at the box office, earning a remarkable $148.7 million in the United States and Canada, and an impressive $253.3 million in other parts of the world. This brought its total worldwide earnings to a noteworthy $401.7 million. In terms of video game adaptations, Uncharted secures its position as the sixth-highest-grossing film of all time globally.

On the domestic front, it ranks as the fourth-highest-grossing movie, falling just behind The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Sonic the Hedgehog, and its sequel. Looking solely at international earnings, Uncharted claims the seventh spot among the highest-grossing video game adaptations.
