Just like his big action blockbusters, where The Terminator star is busy saving people from potential threats, the personal life of Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn’t seem to much differ from fiction. Following the actor’s persona of always being open to helping others, recently the actor once again came forward to help his community in times of need.
The problems of potholes have become a major concern for the residents of Los Angeles and the same was the case for Arnold Schwarzenegger, who witnessed a huge pothole in his neighborhood. And following the actor’s heroic persona, he decided to solve the problem by himself.
Arnold Schwarzenegger took the matter of fixing the giant pothole into his own hands
After registering a complaint about the giant pothole in his neighborhood, the actor decided to take matters into his own hands after growing tired of waiting for the problem to be resolved. In a heroic act, Arnold Schwarzenegger collected his team in order to repair the potholes by themselves and expressed that he was done complaining and was willing to offer his services to the community. While reflecting on the situation, the Total Recall star explained his reasoning for this action by stating,
“You know this hole, or these two holes, have been here for over a month. And we have been complaining to the city and been making them aware of it. And they’ve not responded. They want me to fix more, I fix more. It makes no difference to me. This is all part of it right? Give something back to your community.”
It was later revealed that it wasn’t actually a plot hole but a trench that was dug up by the local gas company that needed to be repaired by Southern California Gas Company. But this isn’t the only time when Schwarzenegger has come forward to offer his help to the ones in need and even saved a man’s life back in 2004.
Arnold Schwarzenegger once saved a man’s life during his vacation in Hawaii
Apart from playing several action heroes on the big screen, Schwarzenegger once became a real-life hero during his time in Hawaii in 2004. While enjoying his time swimming, the then-governor of California came to a stranger’s aid, who was suffering from cramps in his boogie board about 400 yards out to sea and the actor escorted him to the shore. The actor explained the situation by stating,
“I realized he was having trouble, and I asked him if he was in trouble, and he said he had cramps all over his body. I set him on the beach and told him to relax a little because he was so out of shape. He told me that for two years he hadn’t done any exercise.”
These are just a few examples of the actor never backing away from offering his help to anyone in need and despite not having the best time growing up, Schwarzenegger is always open to helping others.
