Nevertheless, all was not well, as her co-star Emily Blunt once revealed that The Post film star was terrified to work in the movie because her role demanded a method acting approach. Blunt, who portrayed Emily Charlton, told Variety:

“She’s amazing and was slightly terrifying on that film. She said it was one of the first times she’s tried Method acting. But it made her so miserable, playing Miranda.”

The whole episode turned out to be a nightmare, and Meryl Streep’s co-stars remember it as one of the lowest episodes of her career. She was so much into her character that it prevented her from interacting with her co-stars, and this anecdote added more to the misery while shooting the movie.
