Henry Cavill successfully wowed the audience in Man Of Steel, making him one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. The actor gave his everything to be the last son of Krypton, and people adored him for it.

Henry Cavill struggled to get the American accent right in Man Of Steel
After Man Of Steel’s release, Henry Cavill made his way to the list of A-list actors. Cavill’s action-adventure movie was released on 14 June 2013. For the 40-year-old, bringing Superman’s magic on screen wasn’t the problem, but getting his American accent right was. The Enola Holmes actor struggled to pick up the American accent as he was from Saint Helier, Jersey which is a British territory. Cavill grew up speaking British accent, and on Zack Snyder’s film set, he found it difficult to break free of that habit.
During an interview, the Immortals actor talked about the difficult moments he had on the sets of Man Of Steel to get the accent right. The Tudors actor said,
“Doing an American accent is about exercising the muscles in your throat and your mouth. Sometimes it can sound great for a long period of time, sometimes your inflection is wrong. It all depends. As long as you’ve got a professional watching over you saying, ‘You did this wrong, you did that wrong…’, it can be made to seem effortless. But you still get days when it just seems to stick in your mouth.”
Cavill has been part of many movies where has played the role of an American. Even in the movie The Man From U.N.C.L.E, the British actor faced difficulties to get the American accent right.

In the movie The Man From U.N.C.L.E, Cavill played the role of Napoleon Solo. He was one of the most charming characters in the movie. The action-adventure movie was released on 28 August 2015. In an interview, the Enola Holmes 2 actor opened up about how he sat with his dialect coach to get a proper American accent. The Justice League actor said,
“I think the hardest thing for me was the accent. When we started, Guy said, ‘Okay, I want something a bit like Clark Gable, but not Clark Gable.’ And I said, ‘Okay, cool.’ So I sat down with Andrew Jack, our dialect coach, and he ran me through some Clark Gable stuff. We worked on it. We kind of got it down, and then we started shooting.”
Henry Cavill fans now love both his British and American accents. Many critics gave The Witcher actor great ratings for his American accent in the movies.
