Kevin Costner has been leading a very troubling life lately, from his ongoing divorce proceedings with his estranged wife to his humiliating exit from his celebrated series, Yellowstone. The Oscar winner was recently in court to discuss the ongoing child support disagreement in the court after his ex-wife suggested increasing the child support manifold.

While testifying, Costner also spoke about his abrupt departure from the show and the money he reportedly made from it. He even claimed to sue Paramount over unpaid dues. At the same time, fans exclaim things are going to get even messier, potentially leading to the show’s end.

Kevin Costner, since May, has been engaged in a lengthy court battle with his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner. Baumgartner has been for a long time demanding an increase in child support and even demanding her ex-husband pay for all the legal fees she incurred. Hence, Costner was forced to reveal the details of his fortune including how much he earned from his popular show Yellowstone.

When asked if he would be doing Season 6, the Man of Steel star revealed that it was complicated and that he was offered $24 million for Seasons 5, 6, and 7 but it didn’t work out.

“We did negotiate. There were issues about creative. I tried to break the logjam. They walked away.”

Furthermore, there were scheduling conflicts as well since Costner was also engaged and starring his the Western film Horizon. The actor then remarked about the possibility of suing Paramount but didn’t reveal if he had taken any legal action so far.

As per Deadline, it was also noted that the star’s ‘unavailability’ despite contractual obligations can make the legal proceedings complicated for him, that is when he sues them. There has also been no comment from the Yellowstone producers so far.

Fans Think Kevin Costner-Paramount Feud Could Get Messy

Even though there hasn’t been any news of Kevin Costner suing Yellowstone producers and Paramount, fans think things could get worse between them and even lead to the show’s abrupt end. Even though many fans expressed curiosity to see how things play out, there were a lot of mixed reactions to his statement.

Just as fans claim, it is worth waiting to see how things would play out for Kevin Costner and Paramount, whether this battle would land in court or whether it would be mutually resolved.
