Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Machismo Cost Him Heavily After Terminator Star Pooped in His Pants While Filming $98M Movie

Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the legendary stars who are credited with making the action genre mainstream. Not only that but his story of leaving an abusive home back in Austria, winning the title of Mr. Olympia seven times, and becoming the biggest star in Hollywood has inspired many. His physique, something that he has managed to maintain even now, mainly contributed to his journey to the top.

To maintain the ripped physique, he follows an intense workout but it can sometimes backfire. The cast of Predator (1987) would train every day before the filming of the movie. Each of the stars, including Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Bill Duke, Sonny Landham, and Jesse “The Body” Ventura were highly competitive and exercised to outdo each other. But it became too much when it all backfired for the Terminator star.

Arnold Schwarzenegger pooped his pants while training

The lead stars of the movie turned their pre-filming workout into a muscle match. The training included a five-mile run and then exercises in the personal weight room of Arnold Schwarzenegger. The training was for the stars to be able to deal with the intense filming, but they turned it into a competition. It was all fun and games till, Schwarzenegger, who despite having intestinal distress, pushed himself to train.

While talking about the incident, the legendary actor revealed,

“[W]hen you’re in Mexico, you eat the wrong thing and inevitably the s*** hits the fan. So I went on an early morning run, and all of a sudden, I started throwing up. So I tried to be ballsy, wiped my mouth, and continued on running, but then all of a sudden it came out the other side. So I had to quickly run to the side of the road and pull my pants down. I tell you, I was in big, big trouble that day. So it was not five miles that day, it was much, much less than that.”

The actor had to suffer the side effects of showing off such machismo, ignoring his health. Though he doesn’t remember what caused the distress, he surely agreed that he needed to take his health more seriously than some muscle match.

A director once asked Arnold Schwarzenegger to do a crazy stunt

Arnold Schwarzenegger worked with director, Mark Lester on the movie, Commando. The director, somehow, believed that the actor really possessed some Terminator-like strength. Lester demanded the actor perform a crazy stunt without the help of any special effects. What was the crazy stunt? Lifting a 200-pound heavy telephone booth. The director confessed, “I thought he was the Terminator, and he kept having to say no.”

Though the actor loves to push his limits, the demands of Mark Lester made him snap. The actor yelled at the director and kept turning down his outrageous demands. Even for the seven-time Mr. Olympia, lifting a phone booth is too much. And unlike his superhuman characters, he is still only human. The pooping accident also serves as a reminder of the same.
