James Gunn Doesn’t Like Scoopers
While the Co-CEO of DC Studios has never publicly stated how much he despises industry insiders. However, time and again he has been vocal about his frustration with the spoilers and leaks of his projects. The director believes that scoops eliminate the experience, that fans can have when they are going to watch the film irrelevant of knowing the major plot twists or the surprises the film has for the fans.
In the past, Gunn has gone to social media to call out scoopers who ruin this experience. In the past, the director has stated that spoilers ruin movies and tweeted out his opinion.
“If a movie can be ruined by spoilers, it’s not a good movie. I’m opposed to spoiling things for folks, but studies show knowing spoilers only very slightly affects the viewer’s pleasure, if at all (and sometimes increases the pleasure of a well-crafted film).”
The director is right because, in a highly competitive industry where numerous films are being created to entertain the audience, scoopers tend to ruin the experience for both fans and creators of the show.
