It doesn’t take much to rile Marvel fans, a few unsavory words attempting to tarnish their favorite film/comic book adaptation is enough to incite a tempest of fury from the entire fandom. And that’s exactly what happened when someone bad-mouthed Hugh Jackman’s superhero hit, Logan, on Twitter.
Don’t mess with Wolverine fans. Got it.

Twitter Becomes A Warzone As Fans Defend Hugh Jackman’s Logan
Starring Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen, and Patrick Stewart, Logan is the tenth installment in the X-Men film series and perhaps one of the biggest hits the franchise ever saw. Grossing $619 million at the global box office against a budget of only $97 million, the film went on to become a commercial success. Not to mention, Logan‘s critical reception, too, turned out to be just as incredible. Its fluid choreography of action sequences, stellar casting and characters, and Jackman’s evolution as Wolverine coupled with his gripping performance rendered critics in utter awe.
Before Jackman, 54, announced his return as the unrivaled mutant in Shawn Levy’s Deadpool 3, Logan was slated to be his last go-round as Wolverine. So, part of the reason why the movie holds a special place in the hearts of the audience is because of the emotional attachment they formed with it. This is also why fans refuse to be mere bystanders when the internet tries to drag their beloved X-Men venture through the mud.
Talking about the James Mangold-helmed film, a Twitter user recently claimed how people have been “pretending” that Logan is a “great” movie when in reality it is anything but. And after that, well, it was business as usual, with comic book fans rushing to Logan‘s defense whilst simultaneously berating the person for what seems to be a blasphemous opinion in the world of superheroes.
While there were people who were not the most thrilled with Logan, the general consensus deemed it as the best movie in Jackman’s portfolio during his run as the adamantium-clad mutant. So, it makes sense why fans seem so horrified that someone pointed fingers at the film.
Meanwhile, the Australian actor is set to reprise the character in Ryan Reynolds‘ upcoming project.
Hugh Jackman Gears Up for Deadpool 3
Last September was a rollercoster of emotions for Wolverine fans when Jackman announced his character’s revival in the third installment in the Deadpool series.
After years of claiming to be done with the role, the award-winning actor is now steeling himself for one final run as Logan in Deadpool 3 and boy is he dedicated. From vigorous workouts and incessant training to stringent diets and a well-maintained routine, Jackman has devoted himself to getting back in shape for the character.
Since Logan was seen to have met his end in the last movie, fans, at first, had been confused about how Reynolds’ film would introduce the mutant again. But as Jackman clarified in an interview with CNN about the same, the storyline weaved in Deadpool 3 consists of events that take place before the 2017 film. This “pre-Logan” plot will thus explore the dynamic between Deadpool and Wolverine as the two team up to fight against a common adversary.
Deadpool 3 is set to release on November 8, 2024. Meanwhile, Logan can be streamed on Disney+.
