Marlon Brando scared Eddie Murphy with his acting

Eddie Murphy worked in the film 48 hrs, which is one of the best films of his career. The buddy cop action-comedy film director was Walter Hill. Talking about the film on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Kimmel, the actor recalled an interesting event. He shared that after the release of his movie, he received a call from one of the biggest actors of the time, Marlon Brando. The actor had received a personal invite from him for dinner at his place.

Recalling the event, he shared it was a pleasant evening with someone who has made some of the best movies of the century. He shared,

“The most surreal moment, because I had just done 48 hrs. Brando told me his favorite scene in the movie, but he was acting to me. He goes, ‘When you said ‘I’m your worst nightmare, I’m a [racial slur] with a badge, which means I got permission to kick your fuckin’ ass whenever I want.’”

Murphy enacted his reaction, which was a mix of scared and amaze. He jumped up from his chair,

“I was like this.”

“‘Oh shit! God damn, Marlon Brando, I didn’t do it like that Marlon Brando.’”

Marlon Brando played the role of Superman’s father in a 1978 hit film. His other hits include The Godfather, A Streetcar Named Desire, Last Tango in Paris, The Wild One, Apocalypse Now, and more.
