Nicole Kidman’s Lifetime Achievement Award Is Postponed
It was recently announced that the American Film Institute would be giving Nicole Kidman her Lifetime Achievement Award pretty soon. Much to the actor’s fate, the Writers Guild of America strike caused a disruption in her event.
As per the statement by the AFI representative, the organization has decided to postpone their event due to the division in their community (referring to the writers). Here’s what the official statement stated.
“For nearly half a century, the AFI Life Achievement Award has convened artists and audiences in celebration of excellence in the art form. Due to the division in our community at this time, AFI has decided to postpone this year’s event with the goal to offer a celebratory environment worthy of our recipient,”
With the continuous writer’s strike in motion, people and Nicole Kidman do not know when the actress will receive her award. In the meantime, the actress will be seen reprising her role as Queen Atlanna in the upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
