Sparks flew between Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling in 2012 on the sets of their film The Place Beyond The Pines. The pair struck up a quick romance on set which then blossomed into 12 years of a solid relationship with two children and an eventual marriage last year. But the couple’s unique feature has always been how low-key they’ve kept their relationship despite both stars being in constant public glare. The Ghost Rider actor addressed this aspect recently after she was requested by a fan to appear on the red carpet with Gosling to promote his new film Barbie. Mendes also spoke about managing her personal life on Instagram saying,
“But we don’t do those things together. Like these photos I’ve been posting, I’m only comfortable posting because it’s already out there,”
The Hitch star clarified that while she was thrilled to support her husband’s film choices and believed that he would do the same for her, they did not believe in promoting their films just for the public eye. Mendes confessed though that this did not stop her from wanting to collaborate on a film with The Notebook actor, which she was very keen to do sometime in the future.

Recently, Eva Mendes spoke about Ryan Gosling’s latest film Barbie with Margot Robbie in which he plays Barbie’s love interest, Ken. Mendes commented on Gosling’s first look in character with the trademark platinum blonde hair and washboard abs with a sizzling reply of approval saying,
“It’s a funny photo and he’s trying to be funny, so it worked on all levels. But when I saw it, when he sent it to me from work, I was like, ‘Can I please have that underwear? Please, I never ask for anything.’”
Eva Mendez and Ryan Gosling have always maintained that their private life and two children take precedence over their professional careers and that their goal was to make sure that it stayed that way permanently.
