Steven Spielberg was associated with Indiana Jones from 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark to 2008’s Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Although the last movie received mixed responses from the audience, the franchise was announced to have a fifth movie. But interestingly, Spielberg passed the torch to James Mangold and took the position of Executive Producer himself.

James Mangold is regarded as one of the most significant directors in recent times. With movies like Ford v Ferrari and Logan in his filmography, hopes were high for the movie. Looks like the director didn’t disappoint as the legendary director assured himself that the forthcoming movie is a great addition to the franchise.

The Jurassic Park director was recently spotted at the Time100 Summit where Spielberg spoke highly about the movie. As stated by the 76-year-old filmmaker, he recently got the chance to watch the movie with other Disney Executives and he absolutely loved the movie. He praised the James Mangold directorial as a very good Indiana Jones movie and is proud of it. He also commented:

“When the lights came up I just turned to the group and said, ‘Damn! I thought I was the only one who knew how to make one of these.’”

As the last outing of Harrison Ford as the globe-trotting archeologist, the fans are hoping for the project to provide a memorable farewell to the character. Mangold has already been successful in providing one of the best goodbyes to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in Logan. Looks like, he is successful once again.
