Starring in one such movie, Lawrence recently promoted her recently released, No Hard Feelings. As unique as the movie’s storyline is, Lawrence went to great extents for the movie’s promotion. Appearing on Hot Ones, Jennifer Lawrence ate the world’s spiciest wings and her reaction was priceless!
Jennifer Lawrence Felt Like She Was Going To Die!
In the YouTube series titled Hot Ones, host Sean Evans interviews celebrities as both eat chicken wings. The spiciness of the wings gets higher and higher as different types of sauces are used, infused with the spiciest peppers around the world.
Although several celebrities took the challenge head-on, not everyone has a high level of spice tolerance. Jennifer Lawrence tried her best to keep her emotions under control, but it seems that the spiciness got the better out of her. During the promotion of No Hard Feelings, the actress appearing on the YouTube series Hot Ones, had a really tough time.
The actress was quite terrified by the spicy wings. The following conversation was an interesting one as Lawrence jokingly said that she felt that she was going to die.
“I was kind of in my head at the beginning; I was like, ‘Is this show real?’ And I don’t think that anymore. Oh my god, I’m panicking, Nothing helps! Is my face okay? I feel like I’m gonna die!”
The actress, quite fortunately, didn’t die and continued to hold a conversation with Sean Evans. No Hard Feelings, on the other hand, seems to have gained several controversies for the unique storyline that the movie showcased.
Jennifer Lawrence’s No Hard Feelings Teaches A Vital Lesson
With the premise of Lawrence’s character dating an introverted, and a much younger guy, there were allegations of the film glorifying grooming of teenagers. The actors who portrayed the parents of the lead actor stated in an interview that it is actually a precautionary tale!
“It’s a cautionary tale. If you are a helicopter parent who puts your child in such a bubble, they do not know how to exist outside of that bubble, you are going to make the exact opposite and insane choice, which is what they are doing here. I feel like it is a very satirical look at what can happen if you do not give your children a longer leash to figure things out for themselves. Otherwise, you’re going to end up curating their life forever.”
With the movie released recently, No Hard Feelings received mixed reviews from the audience. It currently stands at a rating of 6.8/10 on IMDB and an equivalent rating of 68% on Rotten Tomatoes. No Hard Feelings was released on 23rd June 2023 in theaters across the U.S.
