Daniel Radcliffe’s image as Harry Potter is so deeply embedded in fans’ minds that it’s hard to imagine anyone else as Potter. However, Radcliffe certainly has a different notion on this, as he had some names in mind who could perform Harry Potter well.
Years after its release, Harry Potter continues to create buzz among fans. While fans are still not ready to welcome another Harry Potter, Radcliffe sees a reboot as a matter of time and is excited to see his replacement.
Daniel Radcliffe expressed his excitement for the Harry Potter reboot
After enjoying his fame as the lead protagonist of the Harry Potter series, Daniel Radcliffe is now ready to pass on his legacy to upcoming artists. In an interview with IGN, Radcliffe shared his idea of a Harry Potter reboot. The actor said,
“I’m sure there will be some other version of it; I know I’m not the last Harry Potter I’m gonna see in my lifetime – we’ve already got a few more.”
While it is hard for Potterheads to imagine anyone else in the shoes of Harry Potter, Radcliffe is quite excited for a reboot to happen. He said,
“It will be interesting to see how long those films stay… it feels like there’s a sacredness around them at the moment, but that’ll go, the shine will wear off at some point. It’ll be interesting if they reboot them and just do the films again or do a series; I’m fascinated to watch.”
When Radcliffe shared his idea for a reboot, he certainly had no idea that it would manifest one day. Recently, it was announced by Warner Bros. that there would be a reboot of the Harry Potter franchise. However, Radcliffe certainly has no issue with that, as he has already claimed that he is ready to embrace the change as new actors will be cast in the film. Previously, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Radcliffe said,
“I’m never going to close the door; that would be a stupid thing to do. But I think I’ll be happy enough and secure enough to let someone else play it.”
The actor who would replace Radcliffe is still unknown, however, he has some names in mind who will be a perfect fit to portray the iconic role of Harry Potter.

According to Daniel Radcliffe, Elijah Wood would be a perfect choice to play Harry Potter. Wood is popularly known for portraying the role of Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings. Earlier during an interview, the Harry Potter alum jokingly said,
“I feel like Elijah Wood gets recognized as me so much that he may as well have a go at playing the part.”
Another name that is a great replacement for Radcliffe’s character is Jamie Parker. Parker is indeed a perfect fit, as he has experience playing the role of Harry Potter. Previously, he played the role in the Broadway Play based on the book Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
