Enjoying the process of rolling her own cigarettes, Kate Winslet addressed her habit of smoking, during a 2008 interview with Vanity Fair. Picked up suddenly on the set of her $135M movie starring Harry Potter actor Alan Rickman, Winslet mentioned how she never smokes around her children.

Evidently, Titanic actress Kate Winslet once made headlines for her habit of smoking following her 2008 interview with Vanity Fair. Ever since then, Winslet has been spotted smoking on different occasions. The actress has even addressed her bad habit and admitted to enjoying rolling her own cigarettes.
Photographed smoking on different locations of film sets and even during public appearances, the actress confessed to never smoking around her children. Joining the list of celebrity smokers at the age of 19, Kate Winslet claimed to have picked up the habit on a movie set.
Kate Winslet Picked Up Her Habit On Her Movie Set
During her interview with Vanity Fair in 2008, the Academy Award-winning actress was caught indulging in her only known vice of smoking. That’s when Kate Winslet found it necessary to address her habit and discuss the story behind it. Winslet thus mentioned how she picked it up on the set of Sense and Sensibility at the age of 19.
“I don’t smoke around my kids. Like that makes it any better that I smoke at all, because obviously it doesn’t. But I don’t smoke in the house.”
Keeping her children away from her bad habit, and passive smoking, Kate Winslet confessed to never smoking around her kids or in the house. After a while, Winslet confessed how she often smokes one cigarette, in the morning, with her coffee.
“I mean, I had a cigarette this morning, which is because I hadn’t been. Coffee and a cigarette: bingo!” she shared.
After admitting a lot during her interview, Kate Winslet joked, “I’m not sure if I want you to print that”. Later on, the actress proceeded to discuss her life and career. She even spoke about her friendship with Leonardo DiCaprio during her interview with Vanity Fair.
