Dave Bautista recently found himself in controversy. He recently had his tattoo covered up of his friend Manny Pacquiao when he hurt the Guardians of the Galaxy actor’s feelings. The Glass Onion actor had made a tattoo of his dear friend Manny Pacquiao which he covered up after their fallout.
According to reports, Manny Pacquiao had dreamed of reaching the position of President by the year 2022, a dream left incomplete. During the 2016 elections in the Philippines, the then-senator was asked the question if being gay was normal. His answer cost him dearly as Dave Bautista had to leave his friend behind.
Dave Bautista Had The Tattoo of Manny Pacquiao Covered Up
In 2016, Manny Pacquiao was a very good friend and a mentor to Dave Bautista. The latter actor had even tattooed a picture of Manny Pacquiao’s team logo on his left forearm. When Manny was asked questions regarding his political stance, he became a bit personal with the answers.
During his interview, Pacquiao was asked what his thoughts on homosexuality and gay marriage were. Although his personal opinions may or may not differ, Pacquiao wanted to win the votes of the people and thus, his answer was deemed very homophobic.
“Gay people are worse than animals. It’s common sense. Will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female? The animals are better. They know how to distinguish male from female. If we approve male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals.”
Dave Bautista, although a staunch supporter of Manny Pacquiao, backed out of his mentor’s words. Since Bautista’s mother is a lesbian, the statements uttered by Manny were too much for the Army of the Dead actor to bear.
“My mom happens to be a lesbian so I don’t f***ing take that s****. I don’t think it’s funny,”
Although Manny Pacquiao had no responses regarding Dave Bautista’s backing out, he did say some statements that seemed to ignore the fact that people called him homophobic.
Manny Pacquiao is “Unbothered” By Dave Bautista
After many notable actors and sports icons spoke against Manny Pacquiao, the former senator stated that he felt unbothered by these comments. Stating that this was the world that they lived in, here’s what Manny Pacquiao had to say.
“I’m not bothered, that’s the world. I mean, Jesus lives in me so I’m always happy. Says the Bible, everyday has enough troubles of its own, so don’t be bothered about that.”
It feels that Manny Pacquiao is not saying what he wants to say and is taking a baseless stand on his earlier statements. Dave Bautista on the other hand, who had Pacquiao’s team logo tattooed, covered it with a woman who seems to be La Catrina.
