Throughout his 3-decade-long career, Will Smith has witnessed his fair share of highs and lows. Apart from his exceptional filmography, which has pushed him to the top in terms of acting, his personal life has also garnered extreme buzz around the actor on several occasions, especially his love life.
Following the revelation of Jada Pinkett Smith’s entanglement with August Alsina, many believed that she might be the only one to engage in relationships outside of her and Will Smith’s marriage. However, it seems this wasn’t fully the case, as Smith once opened up about his desire to want a harem of girlfriends.
Will Smith’s plan of having a harem of girlfriends involved Halle Berry
Apart from his desire to become one of the top movie stars in the World, Will Smith also once showcased his interest in having his own harem of girlfriends, despite being married to Pinkett. While discussing the matter with his intimacy coach Michaela Boehm, Smith opened up about wanting Halle Berry in his harem, as he explained that he found the actress beautiful. However, the actor soon realized that it wasn’t the brightest idea and eventually denounced the plan of moving forward with it. He explained,
“I don’t know where I saw it or some shit as a teenager, but the idea of traveling with 20 women that I loved and took care of and all of that, it seemed like a really great idea. And then, after we played it out a little bit, I was like, ‘That would be horrific. That would be horrific.’ I was like, ‘Can you imagine how miserable?’”
But despite almost moving forward with this plan, Smith explained the entire process was a learning experience for the Emancipation star.
Will Smith believes that having these urges doesn’t make him a bad person
Although the actor did brush off the idea of having his own harem of girlfriends, Will Smith believed that it was okay to have these urges despite being in a marriage. While reflecting on the situation, Smith explained that his intimacy coach helped the actor realize that having these thoughts doesn’t inherently make him a bad person. He explained,
“What she was doing was essentially cleaning out my mind, letting it know it was okay to be me and be who I was. It was okay to think Halle is fine. It doesn’t make me a bad person that I’m married and I think Halle is beautiful.
Even though he didn’t move forward with his plans, Halle Berry wasn’t the only person the Focus star was interested in, as he also showed his interest in having Misty Copeland as one of his girlfriends.
