Hugh Jackman Rejects $100M Career-Ending Film
Hugh Jackman is one of the most respected actors in the industry not only because of his successful roles at the billion-dollar franchise but also because of how he overcame every possible obstacle and is still standing sky high. He faced quite some trouble during his earlier days in the industry and was very close to ending his Hollywood career over some bad decisions. Although everything turned out for the best, Jackman has learned to conduct himself through these tough times and handle the same situations properly after going through many hardships.
During an interview with The Daily Beast, when Hugh Jackman was asked if he turned down a role from an Oscar-winning director Tom Hopper, he replied without any second thought, “Umm…yep”. Although Jackman is particularly known for his exceptional skills in singing and dancing, he turned down the position of the lead role in a musical movie, Cats. The movie turned out to be a complete box-office failure as it could only gather $75.5 million after its release worldwide from a budget of $100 million. So rejecting the role turned out for the best for Jackman as it could have gravely injured his Hollywood career which he has built so far.
