Amber Heard started dating in 2011, and her career started to lift off, she was cast in several hit movies such as 3 Days to Kill, The Danish Girl, London Fields, and many more, but her role of Mera in DCU’s Aquaman remains the most popular of all. However, her career took a nosedive due to the defamation trial against Johnny Depp, where she accused her partner of domestic and s*xual abuse on her, but Depp denied those accusations.
The couple’s legal battle was highly publicized, but in the end, Depp won the case, and Amber Heard was not happy about it, stating how he used his power and fame to sway the result in his favor. Soon after, she moved to Madrid with her daughter to avoid getting criticized for her actions by the fans of the Black Mass actor.
Amber Heard Learns Self-Control Before The Release of In The Fire
Ahead of the release of her upcoming film, In The Fire, Amber Heard traveled to Sicily, Italy to be a part of the Taormina Film Festival. However, fans of Johnny Depp were protesting in full force, as her film was being premiered at the film festival. However, instead of giving a reaction The North Country actress controlled herself. Variety used this opportunity to approach the actress and asked how she managed to take the first step.
The actress shared that she is in control and she understands how adding fuel to the fire is not a good idea, and she can not control what other people would think of her.
“I’m in control for the most part of what comes out of my mouth. What I’m not in control is how my pride in this project and all we put into this film can be surrounded by clips of other stuff. That’s a big thing I had to learn, that I’m not in control of stories other people create around me. That’s something that probably I’ll appreciate as a blessing further down the line.”
“Right now, I just kind of want to not have, you know, stones thrown at me so much. So let’s get the elephant out of the room then, and just let me say that. I am an actress. I’m here to support a movie. And that’s not something I can be sued for.”
Amber Heard gives a clear statement where she unambiguously states her intentions and how she will do everything to get her acting career back on track, and she will not let her past affect her future.
“I have decades in this industry. I’m not telling you I have this amazing film career, but what I have is something that I’ve made, myself, and it has given me a lot to be able to contribute…That’s substantial enough. What I have been through, what I’ve lived through, doesn’t make my career at all. And it’s certainly not gonna stop my career.”
Through her words it looks like Heard is no longer bitter after her loss at the trial which forced her to pay a huge amount of money to Johnny Depp, eventually forcing her to leave America and go on a break for an indefinite period of time.
