Sandra Bullock opened up on winning the Academy Award in 2009, during an interview with Barbara Walters. In the show Barbara Walters Oscars Special, Bullock talked about her first introduction to the glory of the Oscars and how much she has evolved in the last fifteen years.
As per reports, in the 2009 Awards, Sandra Bullock was nominated for the role of Leigh Anne Touhy in The Blind Side. Her biggest competitor was the actress Meryl Streep for the role of chef Julia Child in the movie Julie & Julia.
Walter asked the Speed actress what if Meryl Streep wins the award, that would she say to her. Bullock replied without missing a beat,
“I’m gonna beat the s*** out of her!”
She added later that she is only joking and thanked the censors.
Sandra Bullock talks about marriage
When Walters interviewed Bullock during the shooting of her movie Time to Kill, the actress said she was not ready to get married yet. She finally decided to get married in 2005, to Jesse James, the previous host of The Discovery Channel’s show, Monster Garage.
Walters asked Bullock the reason for not getting married till 2005. The Net actress shared,
“You know, I’d always had this feeling that if you got married, it was like the end of who you were. And I just never met anyone bigger than me.”
For the unversed, Sandra Bullock met Jesse James, a motorcycle enthusiast, when she took her godson to James’ garage. The duo dated for two years and then got engaged. The couple tied the knot in 2005, but they did not last long. The couple was finally divorced in 2010. Sandra Bullock accused James of cheating on her while she was away for her shoots.
