Nicolas Cage’s cameo in Ezra Miller’s The Flash received mixed reactions. The 59-year-old actor was seen as Superman in the action and fantasy movie but the CGI turned his short scene into a disaster. Even when the Ghost Rider actor filmed for the cameo in person, in the movie it looked like it was all created by CGI.
Unfortunately, Cage fans were a bit disappointed as many wanted to see the actor as the DC’s Superhero character. Finally, the Con Air actor has spoken about his cameo in The Flash.
Nicolas Cage Says it was Satisfying for Him to Come Back On-Screen as Superman
It was a bummer for many Nicolas Cage fans as the actor’s appearance in the movie The Flash wasn’t what the fans expected. People wanted to know what the Lord Of War actor’s comments on his cameo in Ezra Miller’s movie. During a recent interview, the 59-year-old actor spoke about the fantasy and adventure movie and his short scene. While talking about the scene the actor said,
“Well, I was glad I didn’t blink. For me, it was the feeling of being actualized. Even that look for that particular character, finally seeing it on screen, was satisfying. But as I said, it’s quick.”
Many individuals felt that Cage poured shade on the movie when his statement became hot on the internet. Fans are assuming that even The Rock actor isn’t happy with the way his cameo turned out in the movie.
Nicolas Cage was Full of Enthusiasm for his Cameo in The Flash
During an interview, the director The Flash Andrés Muschietti talked about the Mom and Dad actor’s scene in the movie. The filmmaker said that the actor shot his scene in the Superman suit and it was designed by the same costume designer who created the suit for Superman Lives. While talking about Cage’s scene as Superman, the 49-year-old filmmaker said,
“We talked with Nicolas, and we decided to shoot him in his suit. And so, we built the suit with the same costume designer that built the suit for the unproduced ‘Superman Lives,’ which is a movie that would have been great, but nobody will see because it wasn’t made.”
He further added,
“ But the excitement was shared with Nicolas, and Nicolas is such a kind guy, and I think he shared the enthusiasm for bringing back that movie that was never done – even for a couple minutes in our movie. And yeah, the magic of the multiverse is expressing that this universe exists, even though it’s a movie that nobody saw. So, we’re kind of saying that there is a ‘Superman Lives.’”
There was a lot of excitement for Muschietti’s movie which was released on the big screen on 16 June 2023. The movie came out as a disaster at the box office sadly and also received mixed reviews on the internet.
