It majestically displayed their 60-second commercial, in which the True Lies actor playing Zeus was riding in the car and smashing things with his lightning bolt.
But many people were unaware that the advertisement was for a real-life electric SUV made, not a new blockbuster film about Greek gods.
Considering how well-made the advertisement was, many fans were disappointed to learn that it was not a teaser for a new Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.

A 60-second advertisement for BMW features Salma Hayek and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Greek gods.
The advertisement portrays the former governor of California as Zeus, the sky god and monarch of the ancient Greek gods. On the other hand, Hayek is Hera, the goddess of women, marriage, family, and childbirth.
The two make the decision to leave their jobs and relocate from Mount Olympus, which according to Greek mythology is where the gods reside, to Palm Springs, California. Hera seems to be settling into life in the human world without any issues, but Zeus is having a hard time adjusting to mortals and his new routine life.
Although he struggles to control a microwave and the electricity in his house, he uses his powers reluctantly to assist others with charging their electronic devices.
The Predator actor said:
“The humor lies in this legendary god of lightning, who is supposed to be indestructible, battling with everyday electronics. It is only when his brilliant wife presents him with the gift of an all-electric BMW iX that Zeus is struck with the mighty power of electricity and is completely rejuvenated.”

Let us talk about specs while Salma Hayek and Arnold Schwarzenegger present a convincing argument with this viral SUV commercial. Although the 111.5 kWh battery in the BMW iX is not very big, it still produces 500-524 horsepower and 564 lb-ft of torque. A 300- 325 mile range and a 4.6-second 0-60 mph sprint are other expected specs for the iX.
During his appearance on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, Schwarzenegger talked to the hosts about his love of fossil fuel vehicles. Even more, he explained how he came to agree to star in this advertisement for the electric BMW iX.
“I’m a real fanatic about getting off of fossil fuels and making more cars, giving people a choice basically between fossil fuel cars and electric cars and hydrogen driven cars and stuff like that.”
Most importantly, this version has 524 horsepower, which made the actor agree for doing the commercial saying:
“I am in I am in.”
Well, it is safe to say that the BMW iX has some hidden gems up its sleeve and people who care about the environment will appreciate this electric SUV. That’s why it makes sense why Arnold Schwarzenegger and Salma Hayek looked so happy in the BMW commercial.
