The Little Mermaid was one of the most awaited movies in 2023 starring Halle Bailey. Halle Bailey is a well-known American singer, songwriter, and actor. Bailey secured several Grammy nominations at a young age. She also has a long list of discography which is filled with her hit songs. Halle Bailey has constantly worked with her sister Chloe Bailey to bag numerous Grammy nominations. Both sisters have impressed the audience with their remarkable voices and talent.

Halle Bailey has also proved her potential as an actor with her performance in TV series like Grow-ish. Bailey has been making headlines for her upcoming Walt Disney Production film The Little Mermaid. But little did the young star know that she would receive an enormous amount of hate for signing up as the new Ariel in the upcoming movie.

Halle Bailey’s The Little Mermaid Receives An Underwhelming Audience Response

The teaser for the upcoming musical fantasy film is out. The new teaser has been criticized by the audience for several reasons. Fans were eagerly waiting for the release of the movie, but the initial teaser has already disappointed them. Viewers could mark the numerous flaws within the released trailer and claim that the CGI of the upcoming movie is below the belt. 

The CGI is not the only reason viewers are planning to boycott the movie. There have been an increasing amount of racist comments which has targeted the lead star for playing the role of Ariel. Bailey has been targeted by fans for all the flaws they could pinpoint in the teaser. Many believe that the Grow-ish star is the victim of racial discrimination. The internet is filled with negative comments against Bailey.

Halle Bailey’s Fans Defend Her appearance In The Little Mermaid 

With the increasing amounts of hate comments against the Grow-ish star, Bailey’s fans have taken the command to defend the talented young star. Her fans believe that Bailey is getting targeted for her race and has voiced against the haters. Bailey’s fans are pooling their support for the young actress as they slam the racist comments trending on the internet. Even before the release of the trailer, comments claiming Bailey was unfit for the role have been surfacing.
