“If you’re convicted of beating on a woman…”: Jonathan Majors’ Kang To Be Recast if Things Go Bad, Claims Insider

"If you're convicted of beating on a woman...": Jonathan Majors' Kang To Be Recast if Things Go Bad, Claims Insider

Jonathan Majors is in hot water right now after being accused of assaulting his alleged girlfriend. Marvel fans are wondering if the Kang actor will ultimately get to keep his job as the main villain of this phase of the MCU. This question is also important because the next big Avengers movie, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, will presumably explore the titular villain’s origins and history. As such, Kang and his variants will play an integral role in the MCU moving forward. Film insider Jeff Sneider weighed in on the topic and apparently, Majors’ future is looking grim.

In the latest episode of The Hot Mic podcast, John Rocha and film insider Jeff Sneider sat together to discuss the latest happenings in the world of superheroes and pop culture. One of the questions received in the YouTube show was about Jonathan Majors’ MCU future. The fan wondered if Marvel will keep the actor as Kang or part ways with him and recast. Sneider replied that Majors’ time is up if the charges are proven. He said,

“Yeah if he’s convicted…you can do a lot in this industry…but if you are like convicted of beating on a woman, I think you gotta go.”

However, Rocha and Sneider clarified that the doors to the film industry aren’t closed forever to Majors, even if he gets convicted. The two of them said that if the actor can show that he has changed, and probably return to making movies. Rocha said,

“You have to do counselling and therapy and show you have really changed and then Hollywood is probably gonna open its doors to you.”

Sneider backed up the host, saying,

“Yeah it’s not that these people can’t be redeemed, there are a lot of people who have been involved in those kinds of situations in the past, but yeah it’s not good.”

Sneider also expressed his personal theory on the abuse allegations hounding Majors right now.

Jeff Sneider speculated about why Jonathan Majors became involved in an abuse case on The Hot Mic with John Rocha. The industry insider first expressed that he thinks that a lot of actors take steroids to make themselves look like Greek gods. He said,

“The unspoken thing among all these stars… all these guys are on steroids…yeah these guys take incredible care of their bodies, they eat, they have dieticians, they have everything… You think they don’t get a little juice on the side?… I think in order to go from one movie to the next and in this movie you have to be jacked, I think these guys do use steroids.”

Sneider then elaborated on his theory and stated that since Majors had to bulk up for multiple films in a short span of time, so steroid rage could be the reason why he allegedly became abusive. As per the film insider,

“Just looking at the timeline, Jonathan majors is big in Creed 3, and he’s a bodybuilder in Magazine Dreams…so I am saying is it possible that Jonathan Majors is using steroids in these two movies in which he looks jacked and could that have played a role in some sort of steroid rage?…this is pure speculation.”

Rocha said in response, “I don’t think you can rule it out.” Recently, Majors and his legal team revealed the text messages sent by the alleged victim to the star. However, public opinion is split on the content of the messages.

Some think that the woman is responding like a victim of domestic violence, whereas others think that these texts exonerate Majors completely of any accusations. It remains to be seen how the case progresses and if it affects Majors’ role as Kang.
