While Tom Holland and Zendaya make headlines as Tinseltown’s most infamous couple, the latter once reflected upon her previous relationship. Keeping her current relationship notoriously private, the actress opened up about her love life during an advice session on her website.
Reflecting upon her previous heartbreak and broken relationship, the actress revealed being cheated on by her ex-partner. While it sounds impossible for fans to believe that someone might cheat on Zendaya, the actress mentioned the emotional journey she went through after getting her heart broken.
Zendaya Recalled Her Previous Heartbreak
The MCU actress Zendaya is often known for engaging in conversation with her fans and maintaining a close-knit relationship with them. Despite being a closed book herself, the actress often engages in Q&A sessions and live stream discussions with her fans. Thus, during one of her advice sessions on her website, the Dune actress revealed her heartbreaking previous relationship.
Addressing fans’ questions about how to deal with a cheating significant other, Zendaya mentioned, “I would say that with all your gut if you feel it, it’s probably happening.” She further added, “If you feel like you can’t trust somebody… then you shouldn’t be in a relationship with them.” However, later realizing how simple her replies sound, the actress opened up about her personal experience.
Giving out subtle hints, the 26-year-old mentioned how she felt heartbroken after being cheated on by her partner. Learning it the hard way, the actress thus revealed why she personally avoided serious and committed relationships at a young age. “That’s why I’m so anti being in a committed relationship,” the actress shared.
Zendaya Shares Her Advice On Relationships
Sharing her advice with her fans, the actress spoke words of wisdom. Stating how young people are entitled to commit mistakes and learn from them, the Euphoria actress claimed, it is thus necessary to grow up, have better decision-making skills, and then engage in a committed and serious relationship.
“People are learning and growing because when people are young they make bad decisions sometimes because they don’t know any better. It doesn’t mean they don’t know the difference between right and wrong. It just means that they’re still in the experimental phase in their life where they haven’t made the right decisions yet.” Zendaya shared.
Getting back to her personal experience, the actress mentioned, “That’s something I learned is it’s very hard to be in a relationship when the both of you are still figuring out life.” Further, the 26-year-old stated how one cannot make the other person grow up quicker than they are supposed to. Therefore, she advised young people to first figure out their life and then focus on a committed relationship.
Zendaya concluded her conversation by clearing out that no matter how hurt one might get, they are not entitled to bully or criticize people. Despite previously getting cheated on by her ex-partner, the actress still believes, “Not all men are dogs”. She added,
“Everybody is different…You can’t categorize an entire type of person because of something that happened to you once.”
Ending her session with words of wisdom, Zendaya not only mesmerized her fans with her advice but also made them wonder why anyone would cheat on someone so amazing like her.
