Isaac, known for his commitment to challenging and unconventional roles, made a surprising choice when he declined the character offered to him in the acclaimed film Drive.

The artist found the character to be a cliche, a gangster and thug who mistreated his family and led a life of crime, following a narrative trope that didn’t resonate with him. The Robin Hood performer stated,

“Because I just felt that the character was a cliche and, you know, he was just written as this gangster, this thug that was horrible to his family, lived a life of crime, and then you just wanted him to die so the white people could get together.”
