Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling are both amazing actors. Even though the two have made it big within the Hollywood industry, they never really saw eye to eye. Whether it was a rumor or the truth, even The Notebook director saw the tension between the two actors. The actors have grown big in their specific genres and are dominating their careers.
Gosling has especially been trending because of his performance in Barbie. Many even believe that he deserves an Oscar for the role of Ken and they may not be wrong. On the set of McAdams and Gosling’s film, rumors were askew about their differences and their mutual dislike for each other. However, that may not be the definitive case after all.
Rachel McAdams Is Open To Working With Ryan Gosling
Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling’s journey did not start off as smoothly. The two would always go against each other and that would lead to them screaming on the set of The Notebook. Nick Cassavetes, the director of the film had to force the two together and make sure that they could film the movie without so many problems.
“No! Not at all, I’d love to work with [Ryan] again. I didn’t know that [he was linked with Doctor Strange]. Benedict was signed on when it came across my plate so he’s the only ever Doctor Strange I’ve known of.”
When the actress was asked about her relationship with him, she was stunned to find out that he was asked to play Doctor Strange before Benedict Cumberbatch was. When she heard of the news, she immediately addressed the rumor and confirmed that were she to get an opportunity to work with him again, she would do it in a heartbeat. She did confirm that creatively, the two were very different.
Ryan Gosling Admitted That He Was Wrong About Rachel McAdams
It was no hidden fact as to the beef between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. The two did manage to patch things to a certain level because Nic Cassavetes forced them to. However, it did not smooth things out completely for them. Even shooting The Notebook was somewhat of a hassle.
“Two years later, I saw her in New York, and we started getting the idea that maybe we were wrong about each other.”
When the two met each other after a while, they had some sort of an awakening. They saw how they were wrong about each other and knew that patching things was the best possible thing to do. From then on, they were both very happy about knowing each other and always support one another.
