Ryan Gosling Humiliated Rachel McAdams on The Notebook Set
The Barbie actor, Ryan Gosling starred alongside Rachel McAdams in the 2004 film, The Notebook which was a crazy ride for both of them. The latter had quite a hard time on set with director, Nick Cassavetes revealing that their friction got so intense that the former once asked him to replace the actress for an off-screen reading.
In an interview with Vh1, he admitted that the duo was an eyesore to each other.
“Maybe I’m not supposed to tell this story, but they were really not getting along one day on set. Really not.”
He continued,
“Ryan came to me, and there’s 150 people standing in this big scene, and he says, ‘Nick come here.’ And he’s doing a scene with Rachel and he says, ‘Would you take her out of here and bring in another actress to read off camera with me?’ I said, ‘What?’ He says, ‘I can’t. I can’t do it with her. I’m just not getting anything from this.’”
Ouch! It must have been quite humiliating for her however they eventually cleared the air with an intense discussion about their characters. After the filming wrapped up, their friction turned into romance. They madly fell in love with each other which lasted for two years.
