Edge of Tomorrow brought together two amazing actors Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise. The movie did great and the honor of working with Cruise was adorned to Blunt in the sci-fi movie. Her interaction with the actor had been a memorable one, however, it had almost been the case of the exact opposite had the actress not forgotten certain things she said about the actor prior to filming with him.
Although that was all in the past, her current friendship with Tom Cruise gives her the motivation to want a sequel to the successful movie alongside the actor as well as the rest of the cast. As of now the actress only has good things to say about Cruise but that had not been the case always.
Emily Blunt Admitted She Never Would Have Chosen To Work With Tom Cruise
After her time on the set of Edge of Tomorrow, Emily Blunt was full of praise for her co-star Tom Cruise. The on-set point of view of the actor always differs from being good and bad both, while mostly being positive remarks only. Before she shot the movie, in an interview Blunt forgot about, she claimed that working with Cruise would be the last thing she would ever want to do.
Once she worked with the actor, her perspective of him completely changed, making him one of the very many pleasant actors that she worked with. The movie got a whopping 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and was a massive success. It followed an individual stuck in a time loop trying to figure out how to not succumb to the hands of an alien species. Emily Blunt stated very clearly that she would not want to work with the actor, something that changed very quickly for her. Once she remembered her words, she immediately jumped to his side and rectified her statement.
Tom Cruise Helped Emily Blunt On The Set Of Edge Of Tomorrow
While filming the movie, Emily Blunt did not expect the suits that they would have to wear to be 85 pounds. They had been told that the actors would wear tactical suits and to the actress’ surprise, she did not like it at all.
“When you hear the word ‘tactile,’ you think that sounds nice and cozy. There was nothing cozy about these suits. It was like 85 pounds. It was so heavy. The first time I put it on I started to cry, and [Cruise] didn’t know what to do.”
When Tom Cruise was taken aback by A Quiet Place actress, he saw her panic-stricken and crying due to the discomfort and heavy weight that she was enduring. His response had been priceless and did just the job for the actress as he simply told her to pull herself together and move on.
