Rachel Brosnahan is trying her best to grab the role of Lois Lane according to rumors. The race for Superman: Legacy’s cast is already underway and rumors about who might take over as the lead actors of the movie are already going about. Replacing Henry Cavill and Amy Adams will not be an easy task and basically everyone understands that.
There have been many names listed for potential actors and actresses who could play either Clark Kent, Lex Luthor, or Lois Lane. All of these are yet to be confirmed and no official casting announcement has been made so far. However, neither the fans nor the actors and actresses are willing to back down, trying their best to get the part.
Rachel Brosnahan Is Looking Forward To Perhaps Becoming Lois Lane
Lois Lane is a character loved by Superman fans and superhero fans in general. Her vigor, curiosity, and love for the world and Clark Kent surpass all those who stand before her. Out of the very many names involved in the auditioning for the character, Emma Mackey and Rachel Brosnahan‘s names shine brighter than most.
“I mean, look, take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt, is my first piece of advice,” she said. “But it would be extraordinary. I grew up watching Lois Lane, this incredibly talented journalist who is far from a damsel in destress. And I would jump at the chance if it arose.”
Lois Lane broke the stereotype of being the damsel in distress and instead picked up her camera to instead save herself. She became an asset for Superman as well as Clark Kent. No one could compare to her journalism skills and she owned it. Brosnahan too has been heavily inspired by the character and has basically grown up with her.
Rachel Brosnahan Still Has Hope To Become Lois Lane
Rachel Brosnahan is only auditioning at the moment with her latest audition allegedly having gone brilliantly. James Gunn confirmed that when it comes to casting and who would be playing what, he is not the right person to ask. The only people who can actually give any news regarding the same are the actors and actresses themselves.
Replacing Henry Cavill and Amy Adams is not an easy task. Public opinion has so much value at this point, especially for the film industry. If the public rejects something or someone, there is no going back. Either the actor would have to work extremely to win the audience over, or that would be their end. So to cast an actor who would be loved by everyone becomes an integral task and something everyone would have to wait for.
Superman: Legacy will be available to watch in theatres from 11th July 2025.
