In her 2018 thriller Bird Box, she plays a mother (Malorie Hayes) of two young children — a role that reflects the actress’ life as a mom to an 8-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter.

While Bullock almost spends most of the running time in the midst of survival horror, she says that the aura on the set was much lighter than what the movie was actually about. The actress used to bring her own kids, Louis and Laila, to the shoot, where they got to hang out and play with the young stars of the film.
