In an interview, the actress recalled that she was really grateful to Netflix and that the company was really good towards actors, and filmmakers and treated everyone with respect. Stating in the interview, the actress stated that if it wasn’t for Netflix, then many people wouldn’t be working at this point.

“They’re good to artists. They’re good to filmmakers. If it wasn’t for Netflix, a lot of people wouldn’t be working. Their stories wouldn’t be told. Who would think that me, as a woman, would still be working at this point? I would have been out in the cow pasture. It’s true.”

The actress further continued that big shows like Squid Game wouldn’t have been possible for studios like Netflix.

“That’s one of the bigger ones, but I’ve seen more work from other countries told by other nationalities, and we never would have had that 10 years ago, ever. It brings people together in a way that really, you know, we’re getting more and more divided and yet, we have the streamers that are able to blend our stories together and go, look, same story, just different.”

While referencing the 2021 movie The Unforgivable, reports poured in that the lead role was originally offered to Angelina Jolie. Due to some reasons, Jolie rejected the role and Netflix went ahead with Sandra Bullock.

In an interview, Scarlett Johansson felt that she had been rejected from two prominent roles. The roles could have been life-altering. One of the roles that she was rejected for was the 2013 film Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity.

“I got turned down for two roles — the first was ‘Iron Man 2’ and then the other one was Alfonso Cuarón’s ‘Gravity’. I had wanted that role so much. It was sort of the straw that broke the camel’s back. I felt really frustrated and hopeless. Like, ‘Am I doing the right job?’ The work I was being offered felt deeply unfulfilling.”

The actress found the role of Natasha Romanoff in the MCU later on. As for Sandra Bullock, the actress later appeared in the 2021 movie The Unforgivable which received an average rating of 7.1/10 on IMDB and is available to stream on Netflix.
