Blunt starred in the film alongside a very talented star cast, which includes Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Stanley Tucci. While remembering the old days, the actress recalled her character, Emily Charlton, whose identity was her green eyeshadow. Blunt said that she found it so horrifying and bad that it “has to get another outing.”

Blunt isn’t the only one who is excited to be a part of the sequel, as her co-star Anne Hathaway also once shared that the film will always remain special to her. However, Blunt’s statement of wanting a sequel to the film comes as a surprise, as the actress has earlier shared her dismay about working with Meryl Streep in the film.

Emily Blunt once shared her troubled experience of working alongside Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep. Streep’s behavior during the shooting of the film caused some conflict among the actresses, as Blunt wasn’t very pleased with Streep’s attitude.

Known for her impeccable acting skills, Streep once got so engrossed in her character that she seemingly forgot to come out of it, which caused some differences between the stars on the set. In the film, The Devil Wears Prada, Streep portrayed the role of Miranda Priestly, who is an annoying character who always bothers her co-workers. Streep’s co-star Blunt explained during an interview that it was hard to bear Streep while filming. She said,4

“She’s amazing and she was a bit terrifying in that movie. But it made her very miserable to play Miranda.”

Streep also admitted that she gets too involved in her character’s being a method actor. However, the relationship between the two actresses hasn’t been affected on screen apart from appearing in The Devil Wears Prada with Blunt and Streep and sharing screen time in Into The Woods in 2014 and The Return of Mary Poppins in 2018.
