Though retired now, Bruce Willis used to be one of the finest and most amazingly talented actors back in his time. Winning the hearts of fans worldwide with his remarkable performances on the big screen, the former actor had given some of the best films of all time, including Red and Die Hard at the top of the list. But he left his fans devastated early last year when news about him being diagnosed with aphasia and then frontotemporal dementia surfaced.
While he retreated to his family following the diagnosis to spend more time with them, Willis seems to have left even his family members with unanswered questions about the things that he doesn’t remember anymore.
Bruce Willis’ Daughter Is Left Curious With Unanswered Questions Following The Actor’s Disease
It was truly a hard time for the entertainment industry when news about Bruce Willis becoming a victim of dementia surfaced. But it was even worse for his family, to whom he is currently devoting his entire time after retiring.
Recently, his daughter Tallulah Willis gave an interview update about her dad’s health. She also shared how she was left heartbroken with unanswered questions after recently finding a piece of paper with the name of the billionaire, Michael Jordan, written on it by her father.
“That office has always been a kind of window into what he’s most interested in at any given moment,” Tallalulah Willis explained. “Recently I found a scrap of paper there on which he had written, simply, ‘Michael Jordan’. I wish I knew what he was thinking.”
She also revealed how one of the rooms in their house that the Die Hard star likes to be in has some elements that help him remember names or the important events of his life.
“The room is filled with the knickknacks he has collected: vintage toy cars, coins, rocks, [and] objects made of brass. He likes things that feel heavy in the hand, that he can spin around in his fingers. There’s always music playing.”
Bruce Willis got diagnosed first with aphasia in March last year, a disease that affects his speech, before getting further diagnosed with confirmed frontotemporal dementia.
Tallulah Willis Shares Update On Bruce Willis’ Dementia
Tallulah Willis, 29, also gave an update about her dad’s everyday life after his dementia diagnosis. Luckily for his family who is there to care for him in his hard time, Bruce Willis still recognizes them and the terrible disease hasn’t affected his mobility either, letting him walk through the house without help.
“These days, my dad can be reliably found on the first floor of the house, somewhere in the big open plan of the kitchen-dining-living room, or in his office,” Tallulah Willis shared. “Thankfully, dementia has not affected his mobility.”
With a brilliant actor like him becoming a victim of a disease like dementia, it must be truly heartbreaking for his family and close friends who are with him and taking care of him in such a hard time. We hope and wish only the best for the Willis family.
