Halle Berry is among the prestigious names in the entertainment industry and is known for her character Storm in the X-men series. The Academy Award winner proved her mettle in acting with films like Monster’s Ball, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Boomerang, Perfect Stranger, and others. The actress has worked in several high-grossing movies in her career, however, she regrets doing one particular film.
The actress opened up on the DC comic character-based film Catwoman, which was the biggest box office failure of her career. She shared that she wishes to redirect it.

In an interview with entertainment journalist Jake Hamilton on his YouTube series Jake’s Takes, the X-men fame opened up on her lead role in DC comic-based anti-hero film. The actress recalled that it was a high-budget film worth $100 million but only earned $80 million from cinema tickets.
On being asked if she would want to return to any of her projects and direct it herself, the actress chose Catwoman. Berry told Hamilton in the interview,
“I would love to direct ‘Catwoman.’”
“If I can get ahold of that now, knowing what I know, having had this experience, and reimagine that world the way I reimagined this story … ‘Bruised’ was written for a white, Irish Catholic, 25-year-old girl, and I got to reimagine it.”
Berry is the director of her Netflix film Bruised.

The Academy Award and Golden Globe award winner, Halle Berry is a passionate and dedicated director. She shared that she wishes to go back and reimagine her DC Comics character. Berry said,
“I wish I could go back and reimagine ‘Catwoman’ and redo that. Have a redo on that, now knowing what I know.”
“I would have ‘Catwoman’ saving the world as most male superheroes do, and not just saving women from their faces cracking off. I would make the stakes a lot higher, and I think to make it more inclusive of both men and women.”
Berry cursed her 2004 films Catwoman,
“piece of s–t, god awful movie”
She was given the Razzie Award for Worst Actress in 2004 and has sworn to never receive another.
After the disastrous film of Halle Berry, her fellow Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway took up the slinky character in 2012 for Christian Bale’s film The Dark Knight Rises. Actress Zoë Kravitz also donned the character of Catwoman and wore the signature skin-tight catsuit in Robert Pattinson starrer The Batman in 2022.
Reportedly, Hollywood’s two superstars, Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry, are set to star in an upcoming action film named, Maude v Maude. Halle Berry may also be seen in her Storm character in the upcoming, Deadpool franchise.
