Comedian Chris Rock’s life hasn’t been the best lately. The comedian has been around for some time and is a well-respected figure in the entertainment industry, however, his love life took a massive turn in 2016.
Rock got married to Malaak Compton in 1996, however, in 2016, the two ended their marriages Rock was caught cheating on Compton with three women. As time passed, the comedian admitted his big mistake and blamed his attitude for the issues in his marriage. On top of that, he revealed that p*rn addiction completely destroyed his life but now, he has managed to leave that behind.
Chris Rock was caught cheating on his wife
In his 2018 Netflix special, Chris Rock: Tamborine, comedian Chris Rock admitted that he cheated on his wife, Malaak Compton, with three women. He said,
“It’s my fault because I’m a f**king a**hole. I didn’t listen. I wasn’t kind. I had an attitude. I thought, ‘I pay for everything, I can do what I want.’ That s**t doesn’t f**king work. I was the sl*t. I didn’t play the tambourine.”
As per sources, one of the women Rock cheated on Compton with was Rock’s I Think I Love My Wife co-star Kerry Washington. The source added that Rock had an affair for 6 months then Compton found out.
Chris Rock talked about his p*rn addiction
In the Netflix special, Rock also talked about his p*rn addiction and how excessive p*rnography destroyed his life,
“When you start watching p*rn, any p*rn will do. Then, later on, you’re all f**ked up and you need a perfect p*rn cocktail to get you off. I was so f**ked up… I’m a lot better now.”
The comedian shares two daughters with Malaak. The two got married in 1996 when Rock was a known name in the industry thanks to his time on Saturday Night Live, from which he was fired in 1993. The two got separated in 2014 and the divorce was finalized in 2016.
Does Chris Rock regret cheating on his wife?
On multiple occasions, the comedian has regretted his actions, however, he once revealed that he entered the dating scene again in 2016. Fans have pointed out that it’s quite strange that he decided to find another woman shortly after he finalized his divorce.
In 2018, he revealed that he tried to flirt with Rihanna in 2016 after his divorce, however, she rejected him as she saw him as her “uncle.” The 23-year-old age gap between them was enough for the singer to reject his advances.
